An Innovative Care Model

IUIH has developed a comprehensive System of Care; a regionally integrated model of expanded community, aged and primary health care services for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people across South East Queensland.

It addresses social determinants of health and provides a comprehensive workforce development strategy comprising training and employment for its workforce.

Project Aim

This project expands the IUIH System of Care to increase Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ access to sustainable and viable employment through meaningful & culturally appropriate training, and to ensure culturally safe care and ways of working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
