Program Three of the NDIS Principles and VET Practitioner’s Leadership Program will be held in Cairns on Wednesday 21 and Thursday 22 April and invites community services sector staff and other regional representatives to attend.

The Program partnership between WorkAbility and TAFE Queensland delivers current, relevant information on key topics that support the NDIS Capability Framework – including the role and principles of the Quality and Safeguard Commission, to VET teachers.

The two-day workshop will be held at the TAFE Queensland Cairns Campus.

The Program aims to enhance teacher knowledge and awareness which can be imparted onto students studying to work in the community services sector.

Key presenters from Programs One and Two have been invited to present again on the role of the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission, Positive Behaviour Support and the Queensland Human Rights Commission due to the importance of these topics.

An additional range of regional speakers complementing key topics and highlighting regional initiatives and issues relating to the NDIS Principles.

The NDIS Principles and VET Practitioner’s Leadership Program is funded by the Department of Employment, Small Business and Training (DESBT) whose representatives will also attend the program and be involved with the presentations.
