Queensland Community Services Industry workers are now eligible to accrue long service leave benefits based on their service to the industry, not the length of time with their employer.

The Portable Long Service Leave Scheme (PLSL) was launched by QLeave on 1 January 2021. Employers must register with the scheme and record service for their eligible workers each quarter.

To assist employers QLeave has published updated FAQs which include worker eligibility scenarios for community service, multi-service, and allied health and disability support providers.
