The new Federal Budget was handed down in May and is set to benefit job seekers and young people through $500 million pledged towards  an additional 163,000 Job Trainer funded places.

Here’s a quick glance at how:

  • The JobTrainer program has been extended for another 12 months to help thousands of people upskill and train workers for future jobs in demand and growth areas for Australia.
  • Through JobTrainer people will be offered free or low-fee courses equipping them for work in areas including health, aged care, disability, childcare as well as IT and trades.

The Australian Government is partnering with participating state and territory governments to deliver the $1 billion JobTrainer Fund.

If you are aged 17-24 or looking for work, you may be eligible to study a free or low-fee course through JobTrainer.

People can can choose from a range of accredited diplomas, certificates and short courses.
