WorkAbility Qld joined NDIS providers, participants and other stakeholders by making a submission in response to the Queensland Productivity Commission’s 2020 draft report; The NDIS Market in Queensland.

Belinda Drew and Matthew Gillett from CSIA attended the public hearings in early February where they shared Industry insights to the NDIS on behalf of the consortium.

The QPC has undertaken a public inquiry to review the performance of the NDIS market in order to make recommendations to improve its effectiveness and efficiency across Queensland.

The NDIS represents Australia’s largest social reform of recent decades and as a joint Commonwealth-state initiative has helped to transform the lives of hundreds of thousands of Australians who live with permanent and significant disability.

The scheme was implemented state-wide in Queensland from 2016 and there are now 62,000 Queensland participants.

The final report is due to be provided to the Queensland Government by 30 April 2021.
