WorkAbility Queensland has released a crucial mapping resource for employers and workers to navigate the training programs and employment incentives for NDIS related occupations.

The online document, Print Version FUNDING AND SUPPORT FOR SKILL DEVELOPMENT IN NDIS RELATED OCCUPATIONS IN QUEENSLAND is available for download now.

The resource was produced in partnership with Jobs Queensland as part of the NDIS Workforce Research Project and provides a user-friendly manual to better understand the range of funding and supports available for workforce development.

Research identifies that there are a range of programs to support employment and training for the NDIS, but there is little awareness of these programs among NDIS employers and workers.

Funding and Support for Skill Development in NDIS-related Occupations in Queensland provides information to key areas such as:

  • traineeships,
  • incentives,
  • the certificate 3 guarantee
  • higher level skills program,
  • VET student loans,
  • Skilling Queenslanders for Work (SQW) initiative,
  • VET in schools (VETis),
  • regional initiatives.
