The NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission
The NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission is a new independent Commonwealth government agency that will provide a nationally consistent approach to quality and safeguards in NDIS services.
Its role is to regulate the NDIS market, provide national consistency, promote safe and quality services, resolve problems and identify areas for improvement.
In addition, when the Commission commences in Queensland, it will replace the existing process for provider registration.
This means there is limited time for NDIS registration under the current HSQF process – Queensland Government will cease accepting applications for HSQF assessment and approval from 1 April 2019.
