Speed interviews a race to success for Maryborough disability career hopefuls
Ten interviewers completed more than 300 interviews in one sitting when the Maryborough Careers in Disability Showcase was held in the Maryborough Town Hall on Thursday 18 October.
A mix of registered jobseekers, students, and those looking to career changer attended the night to speed interview or to simply learn more from stallholders about the benefits of a Career in Disability.
While employers reported the night was successful from a recruitment perspective, and valuable in terms of filling vacancies, it also received positive responses form jobseekers who commented at how supported they felt during the event and the friendliness of interviewers. Committed employers remained at the session for as long as job seekers were present.
The Showcase followed the NDCO Post School Options event, which was held earlier in the day for school students.
