Pre-Qualified Suppliers – Do You Know About Skills Disability Support?
Skills Disability Support (SDS) is an initiative delivered through the Department of Employment, Small Business and Training that provides specialised services to training providers to enable them to better support people living with disability to participate in nationally recognised training. These services include the loan of specialised technology such as text to speech software and computer accessories, and funding for specialist personnel such as Auslan interpreters, disability coaches and mentors.
SDS is designed to support people who have an identified disability, are undertaking training that is subsidised by the department, are in training that is in a non-school environment, and who are not eligible to receive the same services through other initiatives.
