Redlands Jobs Roadshow: 192 interviews, with 72% moving to a second contact!
More than 30 excited candidates sat through a combined total of 192 interviews on 4 April at the Redlands Jobs Roadshow – with an average of six speed interviews per candidate.
WorkAbility Queensland partnered with Redland Disability Network and Redlands City Council to organise the event, and attendees heard from nine employers including Centacare, CPL, Hireup, Workforce Link, StarCS, Edmen, Karakan, GOC Care, and Afford.
Employers briefed job seekers before the interviews began, with each discussing their needs, organisational values, and current vacancies. With organisations of all sizes represented, there were plenty of options available for job seekers.
During the pitch, Dani from Karakan said: “We’re different, smaller, we are people, we work with people, we value humanness. We invest in our staff so they can have an impact.”
Edmen Community Staffing Solutions promoted the flexibility of the industry, while GOC Care explained their desire to build a long-term team dedicated to their work.
Out of 32 pre-screened candidates and 192 interviews, 140 second contacts were made as a result of the event.
