NTSSS Phase Two Commences

NTSSS Phase Two Commences

WorkAbility Queensland has announced that Phase Two of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) Training and Skills Support Strategy (NTSSS Project), or the Employment Pathway Phase, has begun work as part of a two-year project funded by the Department of Employment, Small Business and Training (DESBT).

The second phase of the project is set to feature strong regional engagement, co-designing solutions for the workforce and skills development priorities and follows NTSSS Phase One; centred around strategy and governance which concluded in August 2019.

The NTSSS Project is an industry-led multi-faceted approach working with community services and industry stakeholders to build a quality workforce to respond to the needs of NDIS participants across the State.

The project is an initiative of WorkAbility Queensland, a non-government workforce development strategy for the NDIS focussing on growing and developing the NDIS workforce in Queensland.

The WorkAbility consortium will jointly deliver project initiatives through its member organisations; Community Services Industry Alliance (CSIA), Queensland Council of Social Services (QCOSS) and National Disability Services (NDS). A project team has been assembled and has commenced work in project scoping and early industry engagement.
