The NDIS will become available in the local government areas of Logan City and Redland City from 1 July 2018. A person may meet the access requirements to become a participant of the NDIS up to 6 months prior to this date.

SOUTH EAST QUEENSLAND NDIS WORKFORCE PLAN
The South East Queeensland NDIS Workforce Action Plan is a strategy of WorkAbility Qld and has been developed by the local WorkAbility Qld Network in consultation with key stakeholders across the region.
This plan aims to support the region in growing and skilling both the existing and future NDIS workforces to meet the needs of people with a disability across the region.
LOGAN AND REDLANDS EMPLOYMENT MARKETTA
WorkAbility Qld and the local workforce action group are taking Expressions of Interest to the Logan and Redlands Employment Marketta: A vibrant and interactive “market place” connecting providers to the many Commonwealth, State and Local programs that can support an organisation build its NDIS workforce.
The Employment Marketta will offer attendees:
• Insights into Australian contemporary labour market and how it might impact your workforce under the NDIS.
• A one-stop-shop where disability service providers can hear about a wide range of programs aimed at getting people into work.
• An opportunity to network with fellow providers in the Logan – Redland region
• An opportunity to talk to those delivering employment and pathway programs within the Logan – Redlands region.
