Logan Jobs Roadshow leads to 250 interviews
Logan city locals were connected with ten employers offering almost 200 jobs in the disability sector at another bumper Jobs Roadshow in Logan on 20 June.
WorkAbility Queensland partnered with Logan City Council to hold the event, and representatives were on-hand from Nextt, Montrose, Karakan, Centacare, House with No Steps, Link Services, Hire Up, and Star CS. They met with more than 50 pre-screened and excited candidates.
From 250 interviews more than 150 progressed to a second contact, representing a conversion rate of 65%.
WorkAbility Queensland Regional Coordinator Natalie Palelei says the event was “fantastic”, and more than 20 frontline champions were trained.
“The industry discussion was rich, and it was great to see employers and their partners start working on the ‘cars and licences’ gap that industry is seeing in candidates.
“(They also worked) on other things to build candidates prospects in the industry.”
WorkAbility Queensland Jobs Roadshows provided a fantastic networking opportunity for employers and partners, providing a real platform to fill vacancies. To find out what else we are doing in the disability space, take a look at our Qualitative and Quantitive research project, and NTSSS.
