Queensland Government disability clients in Lockyer Valley, Ipswich, Scenic Rim and Somerset local government areas can now gain access to the NDIS. Other eligible people will begin to enter the scheme from July 2017. A person may meet the access requirements to become a participant of the NDIS up to 6 months prior to this date.

LOCKYER VALLEY, IPSWICH, SCENIC RIM AND SOMERSET NDIS WORKFORCE PLAN
The Lockyer Valley, Ipswich, Scenic Rim and Somerset (LISS) Region NDIS Workforce Action Plan is a strategy of WorkAbility Qld and has been developed by the LISS working party, in consultation with key stakeholders across the region.
The NDIS implementation in the region is likely to generate the need for at least an additional 1500 workers when fully implemented. This plan aims to support the region in growing and skilling both the existing and future NDIS workforces to meet the needs of people with disability across the region.
