NDIS Workforce Forum Far North Queensland

The Far North Queensland (FNQ) forum will bring together a broad range of key stakeholders from across the Disability sector skills ecosystem. The aim of the forum is to explore, share and hear insights and work collaboratively to develop strategies for the FNQ NDIS Region (Aurukun, Cairns, Cassowary Coast, Cook, Croydon, Douglas, Etheridge, Hope Vale, Kowanyama, Lockhart River, Mapoon, Napranum, Northern Peninsula, Pormpuraaw, Tablelands, Torres, Torres Strait Island, Weipa, Wujal Wujal, and Yarrabah Local Government Areas) to assist in ensuring that we have the right NDIS Workforce, with the right skills, in the right place, at the right time to resource the full implementation of NDIS.

The forum will offer delegates:

  • Perspective and insights about workforce transformation under the NDIS;
  • An opportunity to explore, contribute to and harvest local intelligence about workforce gaps, HRM planning and priorities for NDIS workforce transition; whilst informing the development of the FNQ NDIS Workforce Action Plan;
  • A deeper understanding of, and identification of possible solutions that address operational excellence and workforce transformation impacts, whilst maintaining customer-centricity of NDIS implementation.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND?

The forums will benefit anyone with responsibility for and interest in planning and developing their future NDIS workforce. It is targeted towards service providers / employers, education and training providers, employment services, local government, people with disability, family and carers, along with anyone interested in contributing to further knowledge about workforce transformation as the NDIS rolls out through the FNQ region.
