Gympie Career Buzz – An introduction to a career with endless possibilities0 23
Gympie State High School and WorkAbility Queensland are partnering to deliver ‘Career Buzz’ an opportunity to connect as a school community with people and organisations from the fastest growing industry in the country.
Students and Job Seekers..
Do you like people, being with them and seeing people achieve their goals? Have you got a special skill that you could share with others? Wood working for example, or singing, maybe you’re great at listening and having a good yarn or you’re tech savvy? Maybe cleaning is your thing, cooking, teaching, engaging with children or working out.
Maybe you’re at a stage in life where you just need a job that fits around your other responsibilities, caring for children or parents perhaps? Studying for your future career?
Whatever your special skills, interests and goals an organisation or individual in the community may soon be looking for someone just like you.
These are the opportunities that are coming to Gympie with thousands of new jobs to be filled over the coming years across the Sunshine Coast. We would like to not only tell you all about them but for you to connect with the people who are doing this valuable work now in an interactive and fun way. You will also have the opportunity to connect with services that can assist you to identify any barriers that you may have to employment and services and resources that may be able to support you.
Our community is diverse and we need a workforce that is just as diverse. If you are still at school, or getting ready to leave the full time workforce, if you are Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander, if you come from a culturally or linguistically diverse background or you have a disability, we would love you to come along – our differences are our strengths, and everyone is welcome.
