Approximately 60 stakeholders attended the first WorkAbility Qld Designed 2 Work: Wide Bay Burnett Workforce Conference in Bundaberg on the 2nd of August.

Attendees from the Fraser Coast, Bundaberg and the North Burnett joined the event which featured eight different sessions of workforce related information.

The emergence of High Performing Workplaces and Self Directed Teams was the keynote address at the event, with those attendees interested in translating models to local contexts undertaking a facilitated workshop session conducted by Dr Caroline Alcorso and Yumi Stamet.

The Benefits of Employing Diversity was also explored with people challenged to examine whether their work teams reflected the community they served.

Four more breakout sessions throughout the day addressed a range of topics including Growing Your Workforce Through Smarter Workforce Decisions, Tailoring Training, Understanding the Recruitment Process and Tackling Burnout.
