BUNDABERG’S SEARCH FOR TOMORROW’S SUPPORT WORKERS
Employers, jobseekers, Job Search Agencies, RTOs, and people who receive disability supports will come together to find the support workers of tomorrow when Bundaberg holds its first Recruitment Roadshow in March.
Wide Bay Burnett WorkAbility are currently planning the event which will be hosted by MAX Employment. Around 70 jobseekers will be invited to connect with employers and customers, learn more about the support industry, as well as speed interviewing for real vacancies in the local area.
WorkAbility Local Coordinator, Melinda Everett, said it was the first of several recruitment events planned in the Wide Bay area which had the potential to assist both jobseekers and employers.
“These events will allow people who may not know much about the disability support sector to learn about the types of roles that are available and the qualities that employers are looking for. With that knowledge, interested job seekers will have the opportunity to have a speed interview on the day and tell employers more about themselves,” she said.
“Numbers will be strictly capped to ensure employers and job seekers can have a quality experience.”
