Key Priorities


WorkAbility Qld will deliver both local and state-wide workforce solutions that will build on the sector’s existing strengths and networks across the state to ensure a strong and sustainable NDIS workforce. The Strategy has been designed to enable local workforce solutions for local needs through partnership and collaboration with key stakeholders to ensure Queensland has the right people, with the right skills, in the right place, at the right time to achieve full implementation of the NDIS by July 2019. In order to meet these key priorities, the strategy will deliver:

Key Priorities

Four key areas have been identified for focus at both a state wide and local level. These are:

  • Workforce Intelligence – Building a sustainable and diverse workforce through developing and maintaining a comprehensive and clear understanding of NDIS-related workforce trends and issues for Queensland.
  • Workforce Leadership – Engaging and Skilling organisational leaders (CEOs, Managers, Board of Directors) to develop capability, confidence and innovation in building and maximising a sustainable and diverse workforce.
  • Workforce Supply – Coordinated and effective attraction and recruitment strategies and resources to engage and connect potential workers to NDIS jobs.
  • Workforce Capability – Quality skilling and professional development initiatives to build capability and understanding that meets the needs of NDIS participants.
